High-Precision Custom Metal and Component Manufacturing
A robust drive shaft designed for agricultural drivetrains, made from SAE8620H and engineered for heavy-duty, long-service operation in field conditions. Manufacturing route: blanking → forging → rough & finish turning → drilling & boring → rolled keyway → end-face oil groove milling → carburizing & quenching → straightening → OD grinding → final bore machining.
Material & hardenability: SAE8620H provides excellent case hardening response — a wear-resistant surface with a ductile, impact-resistant core.
Targeted surface treatment: Carburizing and quenching deliver a hard, fatigue-resistant case on splines, journals and contact zones while retaining core toughness for shock loads.
Precision geometry: Post-heat straightening, OD grinding and finish boring minimize runout and ensure reliable assembly fit and concentricity.
Torque transmission & lubrication: Rolled keyway and milled end oil grooves ensure secure torque transfer and effective lubricant distribution under continuous operation.
Field-ready durability: Forged blanks and controlled finishing reduce subsurface defects and enhance fatigue life in muddy, vibratory agricultural environments.
Tractors, combines, balers and other farm machinery driveline systems where durability and serviceability are critical.
Customizable to customer drawings and technical requirements (spline form, tolerances, case depth, hardness, surface finish). For samples, tolerance sheets or quotations, please provide drawings or key parameters.
